Mississauga, ON, February 5, 2016 – We are pleased to announce the appointment of D’Arcy Smith as the new Risk/Operations Manager for Agrico Canada. D’Arcy will undertake this role starting February 8, 2016 and will report to Bill Wilford, General Manager.
D’Arcy brings to Agrico an extensive background in operations, environmental management, health and safety. Over the past few years, D’Arcy has been an Operations Manager with Cargill overseeing operations at the Princeton Farm Service Group. In this position, he was accountable for risk management, loss control, environment, health and safety policies and programs. Additionally, he worked with the team on pulling together operational budgets, capital planning and talent development.
Prior to Cargill, D’Arcy was the production manager and health and safety coordinator at NGF Canada. He was responsible for the manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure an effective return on assets. He also developed and implemented the health and safety policies and procedures for NGF. With this experience and qualifications, D’Arcy will be a great addition to the Agrico team in helping us implement our Operational Excellence Strategy.
